Service Learning

Through Nobel Learning Communities’ service learning projects, grades 1st – 8th study social entrepreneurship and how young people can make a difference in their community. These projects integrate community service with instruction and reflection to enrich the learning experience, teach civic responsibility and encourage lifelong civic engagement.

Our students are an active part of their own learning, and they value their connection to their schools, communities and world. With each service learning project, students identify a community service need, investigate issues, research and evaluate possible solutions, develop and implement a plan of action, and assess their results.

These projects give students insight into social and civic issues. As they progress through each grade, students are able to apply what they’ve learned to new projects, and learn how all aspects of our communities and world are connected.
